Meet Julie

Julie Downs has lived in Taylor, Texas, for more than four decades and has practiced real estate in the community since 2015. As an agent, she made a name for herself quickly, earning multiple awards, including the Top 500 designation for four consecutive years. With her high transaction volume compared to other Realtors® in the area, Julie has seen a variety of complex real estate scenarios and has navigated them all with ease. Julie provides trustworthy, personalized service for every client, including first-time homebuyers, empty nesters, investors, and local business owners.

 

Prior to entering real estate, Julie worked for 22 years teaching math and coaching in the area. With her strong background and degree in mathematics, Julie is a savvy, detail-oriented negotiator. She also holds a degree in clothing and textiles, something that gives her a keen eye for design and home staging.

 

Julie’s years teaching helped to solidify her love for the Taylor community. Many of her former students and their families have become clients and friends. Her spirit of service and dedication speak for themselves — from spending long hours on the bus to coach sporting events to mentoring her students in the classroom. These qualities have earned her a stellar reputation in the community and served her well in her real estate dealings. “Our business is thriving because we follow one simple task — take care of our clients and friends, and God will take care of us,” she says.

 

When Julie isn’t helping her clients achieve their real estate goals, she’s lending a hand at community events. She also serves as a member of the Taylor Area Businesswomen organization and sits on the Taylor Chamber of Commerce board of directors. She enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her family, grandchildren, and dogs.
